Choose it if you want an agent to take a task end to end and prove the result. The browser integration is genuinely unmatched right now, and the artifacts make review tractable. Accept in return that it is a preview: limits shift, MCP is not there yet, and long runs can be interrupted.
Agent, edit and ask modes · background agents
Choose it if you would rather steer than delegate. The editing model is the most refined of the three and the tooling is mature. You pay monthly, and there is no browser verification step.
Cascade flow · previews and deploy · rules and memory
Choose it for a large existing codebase where keeping momentum matters more than autonomy. Deployment previews and the plugin store are real advantages; agent oversight is lighter than Antigravity's.

If a change shows up on a page, browser control is worth a lot and Antigravity pulls ahead. If your work is a data pipeline with no UI, that advantage mostly disappears and the decision comes down to editing quality.
Antigravity front-loads the review: you approve an approach before code exists. Cursor keeps you closer to the diff. Neither is better — but people who dislike reading plans tend to dislike Antigravity.
One task at a time makes the Agent Manager overhead rather than benefit. Three repositories and two people waiting on you makes it the whole point.
Preview software changes under you and can be rate-limited at a bad moment. If a deadline depends on it, a paid generally-available product is the safer bet.
